One piece of the faucet that you may not think about is the diverter. This is the portion of the faucet that splits the flow of water. This allows an ample amount of water to be pushed towards the actual faucet while another portion of the water is pushed towards the sink sprayer. This small piece can get damaged or get blocked. If it is blocked or damaged it may reduce the flow of water going to one of the pieces or it may stop the flow of water completely to the kitchen sink sprayer. If this is the case then someone will need to take apart the faucet and either clean the diverter or completely replace it with a new clean one.
Another thing to look into besides basic wear and tear on the hose is the actual spray head. On the tip of the sink sprayer there is something called an aerator which allows a proper amount of water out. This piece can become quite dirty after long use. If this is the case then you will simply need to unscrew the head and clean it off. A great way to clean it is by using lemon juice or white vinegar. These two things act as a cleaning agent that is not harmful to your health.
You will also want to check all of the fittings on your faucet. Just because they were tight at one point does not mean they have stayed that way.
